Meet David Majercik Retailer • Storyteller • Mentor

David Majercik didn’t learn business in a boardroom. He learned it from every customer, every sale, and making more right decisions than wrong.

After leaving a career in public school administration, David and his family opened the Williamsburg General Store in 1977 with their life savings and a lot of determination. Over the years, that store grew into a community landmark known for its warmth, variety and old-fashioned service. Microsoft Edge has named it the “most charming General Store in Massachusetts.” Yankee magazine’s Travel Guide said it’s “worth a journey from most anywhere.”

Through trial, triumph and a lot of hands-on work, David discovered what truly makes retail work. Now, he’s sharing those hard-earned lessons. Not from theory, but from decades of real day-to-day experience. He writes the way he works: honestly, patiently, and with heart.
